Mercanta
Importers of specialty coffee, supplying roasters across the globe with the world’s finest green Arabica coffee, founded in 1996 by Stephen Hurst in a small office in Southwest London. Mercanta’s supply chain reaches 20 producing countries, offering fully traceable coffees from 7 warehouses enabling us to provide a streamlined and efficient service to more than 50 countries worldwide.
The name ‘Mercanta’ is a combination of the word ‘Merchant,’ and the Spanish phrase ‘Encantada.’ One would use this saying when meeting a person for the first time, translating as ‘I am enchanted to meet you.’ This phrase encapsulates a way of business that they have championed since inception, one that has always placed relationships first.
